Top 5 Internet Providers

Internet Service Providers have come a long way since the days of dial-up. Broadband Internet offers customers higher speeds, greater variety in plans, and more security features than ever before. The only confusing part is deciding which company to sign up with. Thanks to the increasing flexibility of plans and the competitive nature of ISPs in general, it can be difficult to know which company or plan is right for you. That’s why we’re going to break it down for you company by company.

1. Comcast

Speed: Up to 150 MBPS (Download) and 10 MBPS (Upload) Business speeds can reach up to 500 MBPS.

Plan Variety: Comcast has 10 different plans to choose from, with plans starting at $29.99 and topping out at over $274 for business plans.

While Xfinity’s Internet speed is impressive, some of the packages can be a bit on the high side for someone who might just need basic Internet. Not everyone wants to pay for a speed they just don’t need.

2. Verizon

Verizon has plenty of flexibility and their 100% fiber-optic Internet boasts more reliable Internet than just about anyone around. After all, it doesn’t matter how fast the Internet is running if it’s not running at all. Verizon loves to tout their uptime.

3. AT&T

AT&T’s Numbers

Speed: 100 MBPS (Download) and 1 MBPS (Upload), as you can see they prefer a comfortable middle ground on speed, so if you need something blazing fast, they’re going to fall a bit short

Plans: 3 primary plans, starting at $30 per month. Plans can be bundled with phone and TV services, driving the price of Internet down even further.

While they offer some great introductory offers, you might have difficulty finding them in your area. If so, there’s still two more great providers to choose from.

4. Cox

Cox is a lesser known provider but in areas where they exist, they’re very well respected by their customers.
