Pepper’s body guards protect the robot from harm by visitors while Pepper’s internal software prevents the robot from being hacked.

CCB, China’s second largest banking chain, has recently installed a fully robotic staffed bank in Shanghai. Aside from a single human guard, the bank is run by robots. They open accounts, make transactions and keep costs relatively low for the CCB chain. Some believe this is truly the future of banking.

The Intuit campus has been touched by Starship’s robotic delivery service, and this time humans are definitely out of the picture. When it comes to one of the world’s largest retailers keeping up with demand, outfitting its warehouses with Kiva Robots helps to make the retail giants order volume maintain a high rate of fulfillment. With more Kiva robots being used in Amazon’s distribution warehouses, this will require less of a need for human workers to perform these tasks. As human labor is reduced and replaced by robotic solutions that can outpace human workers, this will inevitably cut costs for Amazon.
